Renay Eng-Fisher - President

Renay Eng-Fisher is a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor in the oil and gas industry.  Among her various work related activities she provides workshop training sessions on health and industrial hygiene issues.  Renay holds Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety certifications and a Master of Arts in Environmental Education and Communication. Over the years Renay has supported numerous community and charitable organizations as a volunteer and fund raiser. Renay initiated these projects to honor the memory of her father, and because children and the environment are heartfelt passions for her.

Steve Speer - Vice President

Steve Speer has been self employed as a graphic designer and photographer for over 20 years. His role is that of documentarian and designer and he has visited Nam On Village twice to document the interaction between ECO Village of Hope and the people of Nam On using video and photography. He approaches his photography with a keen and sensitive eye and uses his images to tell the story of ECO Village of Hope in the strongest visual sense.

Janet Riganti - Secretary

Janet Riganti has been a nurse since 1979 practicing in many areas with a particular emphasis in health education and advocacy throughout North America.  She is a parent to two children adopted from China.  This experience moves her to reach out to assist others still orphaned to give them the love, security and hope that should be the future of all children.

Michele McCarthy - Director

Michele McCarthy has 25 years experience as a manager in the areas of health care, education and community development. Her area of specialty is the use of technology, specifically videoconferencing, for connecting people at a distance and sharing expertise in these fields. She currently works as a Manager in the collaboration technology industry. Michele has a strong interest in rural development; her volunteer work in the past has centered on local projects in smaller communities. The Eco Village of Hope Society’s projects provide her the opportunity to bring these skills to the global community.

Sonia Chycoski -Director

Janice Fleming- Director

Janice Fleming is a self-employed consultant to the Oil & Gas Industry in Calgary. She provides land administration services to 12 small oil & gas companies. She has her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology. She studied music in Heidelberg, Germany and taught piano and guitar lessons. Janice believes very strongly in giving back to the community through volunteer work. She speaks German and French quite fluently and is learning to speak Spanish. She is currently taking courses to enable her to teach English as a second language.
